Big Apple Bound Lea Michele Brushes Off Emmy Snubs » Gossip - Setting off for the east coast, Lea Michele followed procedure while passing through security and boarding her outbound aircraft at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday (July 19).
The Rachel Berry babe wore a white buttondown top with tattered jeans and shades for her afternoon travels while en route to New York City to launch the 2nd annual Valspar Hands for Habitat, which raises disaster relief funds by auctioning celebrity handprints.
The Big Apple charity work comes as Lea and her "Glee" castmates were left disappointed after receiving a less-than-expected three Emmy nominations.
Not ruing over the lack of recognition, a positive-minded Miss Michele told E! News, "I think there are so many incredible shows out right now. I am a huge fan of Girls and the fact that Lena [Dunham] got nominated and the show got nominated is amazing. There's some really great stuff out there right now, so I feel like this is just the natural progression of things."
"I'm very proud of our last season," the 25-year-old added. "I think it was one of our best seasons ever."
